I love sharing what I know to help anyone save themselves a ton of grief down the road. Maddy has a wealth of knowledge in the start up space and some of the clearest modeled behavior on how you communicate your value stack.   Kel is proof that you don't have to talk with someone 24/7 to know when someone is in your corner. Among Kel's many pursuits (check out Alluvium Gatherings), it turned out that Place to B might be the place to host Moxie Studios. We totally need to talk about this not on a public newsletter and I'm totally jumping the gun by putting this out right here but... fuck it. I said it out loud. There. 🥳 Kel, I know you're going to see this... you can tell Erin that the message & idea really stuck and the answer is 'yes'. Y'all have now witnessed the most chaotic start to an endeavor, like, ever.​

One of these days we'll finally end up in the same room at the same time. We missed each other in Nice, France last year by just 6 hours. • ​The Romance Era Bookshop​
  Romance fiction as a genre has always been the #1 genre of all books sold, since pretty much forever. I really see romance fiction reading (& writing) as the ultimate act of rebellion right now. It champions women's interest, economy focused on women's preferences, and it brings joy... which is what oppression would love to remove from us all. Ren's book store celebrates indie authors and has the largest selection of queer romance I have ever come across. And The Feral Book Club thanks you for hosting us with such generosity this year. This is also how I got to know Heather and found my new cat children... Damon & Stefan Salvatore's sister is going to be the new shop cat at Romance Era, so now you have extra reasons to drop by! • ​Lindsey Pope (Instinctual Health) - My acupuncturist and nutritionist. You can do remote nutrition counseling... and if you're in the Portland metro region, you should run as fast as possible to Lindsey for acupuncture.

• ​Shai Maxine (Stregth & Somatics) - My somatic coach for trauma and pain. The road back to health from abuse is a long and winding road. The reason I'm such a stickler for nervous system regulation in entrepreneurship is because Shai changed my life.

• ​Workout Witch - More somatics! This series of online courses helped me release even more stored trauma in my body. There is a lot you cannot see in me from my videos and these exercises continue to help me re-regulate during stressful periods.

• ​To Be Magnetic - Raise your hand if you love manifestation practice! Yeah, me too. But I'm PICKY about what I choose to engage with because I do not like bullshit manifestation. The community for this is HUGE, which is fascinating to engage with, but the process is rooted in neuroscience and it works. Expect to be held accountable and deal with your inner child healing work.

• ​The Manifestor Community - This is for my Human Design Manifestors! If you're a Generator, Manifesting Generator, Projector, or Reflector, these materials may be interesting but not as effective. As a Manifestor type in Human Design, I turned to this community a few years ago because it's been created and nurtured by a Manifestor and multiple Manifestor coaches. We are the only closed aura in all the HD types, which makes our experience difficult to teach if you're not a Manifestor... so this is for you if you're on Team Manifestor like me.

• ​Descript - This is how I do all of my media editing now. The AI tools are easy and effective. Instead of getting a handful of tools for video, audio, and social clips... simplify and just use Descript. You can record natively or import raw video and audio... You also get Squadcast as part of your Descript service which enables you to record remote conversations for shows and podcasts. You can also cancel your Otter subscription because Descript will process your transcripts for you.

• ​Notion - This is my project management tool and I even build my freebie giveaways through this tool. It's ridiculously powerful and my favorite feature is actually the mobile app so that I can capture my over-active creative brain in an on-the-go ideas parking lot. I integrate Google Workspace with Notion and between the two tools, I've stopped losing track of the details on complicated productions. You can find lots of free templates or even purchase fancier ones, so you don't have to build from scratch.

• ​Buzzsprout - This is my only go-to podcast publishing platform. Period. It's easy to connect all of your RSS feeds, the user interface is clear, and comes with ads integration. Get a $20 bonus in YOUR pocket when you use my link.​

• ​Google Workspace - I started out as a Microsoft 365 user when I first launched my coaching business. I had been an enterprise administrator in my corporate career and it was faster for me to set up at the time. But when I started working more deeply with online businesses, Google Workspace was simply superior in terms of document sharing and managing security permissions. If you've been on the fence, the old systems coach and tech director in me is gently telling you to make the switch.

• ​TechSmith - I don't use Camtasia as often as I used to because I am in Descript so darn much. But... when I need finer video editing, I am still a Camtasia girl at heart. You really cannot go wrong with this tool and it's so much easier to use than FinalCut Pro. I'll leave FinalCut to my professional editors. But if I need to fix something and don't have the luxury of turnaround time or it's honestly not that complicated, I fire up Camtasia.
